It is with sadness that I include this entry on the recent death of Greg Sharp.
Greg was the eldest son of Aileen and Norrie.
Aileen was the eldest daughter of Charles and Grace Thompson.
Charles was the son of Edward and Rebecca.
Edward was the son of Ned Thompson.

Edward Thompson
Edward married Ellen Parsons who was born in Newcastle in 1825.
They were my great grandparents.
I think that to have shifted lives from 1850 (?) Newcastle to Central Otago was amazing.

Hello wider family.
We also have a facebook page! This has been in existence for several months.
You can find it at http://www.facebook.com/groups/192983764062579?ap=1
Edward Thompson (Ned Senior) was born in 1824 in Newcastle-on-Tyne in England.
That's 187 years ago.
Hmmm, two followers already. That is great. Let us all know who you are!

First Post
Hello everyone!
This is the first post for the family blog.
Ned Thompson and Rebecca Patton settled in Macetown.
This blog is for all of the descendants and wider family.
I hope it will be inclusive and interesting for eveyone.
I will need help from people in order to add information, stories and photographs.
